Here it is a week later and I am finally getting around to posting about the Saturday reunion. There wasn't many of us there, but those of us who were had a good time and I think the kids had a great time.

Friday night at the McConkie home

All of you who couldn't make it we missed you, and hope you can be there next time. Those of you who chose not to join us, you my friends, missed out!!!
Seriously, thanks for coming I had a great time and hope you all did too.
The McConkie yard is beautiful and the temperature was great. We had a great time visiting, after a while we all took a minute to share what was going on in our lives and our favorite Scottish memories. I wish I could remember all of them many were funny, like putting gross dinner inside of suit pockets lined with plastic sacks (Elder Chad Martin),more of them were spiritual. A lot of us shared the fact that we were grateful to teach the restoration, (even if at first we thought Pres. McConkie has apostatized), our testimony was stronger and we were better able to be great adults because of it.

BTW at the park tomorrow there is a skate park spot you can't see it from the bowery , but it is around the corner. There is a basketball hoop a sandy area for a volly ball net. I haven't procured one yet, but I am working on it.

I am a stay at home Mom to 6 wonderful kids 15,12,9,4,3 and 3 months my husband is in the Air Force so we move quite a bit. We currently live in Belleville Il just outside of St. Louis Missouri. I am the 2nd counselor in the Primary Presidency and my husband Dale currently teaches Gospel Doctrine. It has been awhile since we have taken a family photo together. Reunion Events

When: Friday Night the 22nd at 7:00pm.
Where: McConkie’s home, their address is: 535 w. 650th s. Orem, Utah 84058.
Who: It is our Alumni night (an Alumni only gathering. That way we don't have to find babysitters, our spouses won't be bored, last, but definitely not least, those who are single can come and not feel like a 3rd wheel. We want everyone to come and feel included.) Yes, that means you Swanneyites as well.
Please Bring: bring a treat to share.
When: Saturday the 23rd of August 11:00 (But we do have the Bowery for the whole day)
Where: Roy West Park, 4500 s. 2900 w. Roy, Utah 84067
Who: Bring the whole Family
Please bring: A picnic lunch for your family. (Possibly a blanket to sit on the Bowery can only hold about 100.)
Frisbee’s, footballs, baseballs, and mitts. If anyone who lives close has a volleyball net and ball that could bring them, I would be grateful. (I have not organized activities for the kids just so everyone knows.)
